ATROCITIES OF THE GERMAN-FASCIST INVADERS DURING THE OCCU-PATION OF THE CITY OF SUKHINICHI AND THE SURROUNDING TERRI-TORIES DURING THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR (BASED ON THE MATERI-ALS OF THE COLLECTION "WITHOUT STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS. KALUGA REGION")

Abstract

The article is based on the materials of the collection of documents "Without Statute of Limitations. Kaluga region" and tells about war crimes committed by Nazi invaders in the occupied town of Sukhinichi and adjacent territories. The author analyzes archival documents, which are the acts of commissions created in the field to investigate the atrocities of the occupants. Archival materials allow to show the scale of crimes committed by the invaders on this territory. Thanks to the documents of the collection and, in particular, to the project, within the framework of which the archival materials of the Great Patriotic War related to the occupied areas of the country were published, there is an opportunity not only to draw attention to the historical facts about the atrocities of the Nazi invaders, but also to emphasize the importance of memory and respect for the victims of the war.
