Sport is a component of the social and health policy of the Kamchatka re-gion: content, plans, reality

Abstract

In the proposed article, special attention is paid to the analysis of the state of development of sports in winter conditions on the territory of the country. The choice of this sphere of life of the Russian multinational community of the Kamchatka Territory as an illustration is not accidental. This region has specific conditions. A significant part of the annual cycle is rather winter conditions, accompanied by severe frosts, winds, cold winters, and other unfavorable weather conditions. In this regard, the physical culture and health-improving activities of the relevant structures in the winter season are considered. Therefore, the analysis of the organization of the sports base itself, the participation in all types of winter sports is of valuable importance.

The analysis of the state of the sphere of sports life in the region as a component of state policy was carried out. According to the author, it will be useful in terms of transferring the experience of the region in this direction, identifying the possibilities of its application in similar regions of the Russian Federation.

The executive authorities of the Kamchatka Territory, having begun reforms back in the difficult 1990s in all spheres of life, have achieved noticeable results, in particular in the sports sphere. Success in the implementation of the measures developed by the Government of the region in the system of sports is evident. The presented material also testifies to this.
